critter id please.

I have seen a few of these in my tank. What are they and are they harmfull?
It's the grey bug looking thing in the center of the photo.

looks like a type of amphapod if im thinking of the right word, i have seen a few in my tank and my wrasse loves to eat them. shouldnt be a problem i dont think, and can be a good sign that your tank is doign well if your starting to get a good pod population.

Looks a bit like an amphipod, but it's hard to tell from the picture. Does it form more like a C shape when it moves around?

It moves like a cockroach. It is fast.

+1 for amphipod. Great fish food for small carnivores in your tank.

I agree, amphipod. I don't have any fish that will eat them right now, so at night I've got tons of them crawling all around.
