I haven't kept that one but have kept white tail triggers, blue-jaw triggers, niger triggers, and pink-tail triggers in reefs. The niger was very fish agressive and munched hermits, the white-tail munched the occassional hermit, the blue jaw and pink tail left everything alone, but I've never kept them with really small fish or shrimp. I've seen crosshatch triggers in friend's tanks that seemed safe.

A friend of mine has a pair in his reef tank with clams and shrimps but with any other fish, it's a risk as all fish are not the same.

I have them in my FOWLR, which used to be a reef tank....I still have zoas/palys, candy cane, rose anemone, GSP, flowerpot (goniopora), a big monti cap, couple scolies and a some large 1" hermit crabs in there...my crosshatches have not looked or touched any of these corals/inverts...

I feed my tank heavily, so maybe that can be a factor..

I have them in my tank and they are perfect. I have clams, SPS and some LPS.
I also have cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp and emeralds.
This is an old pic but here they are as babies

Any fish that can fit a smaller fish in its mouth is probably going to try and eat it, give a chance. As for the corals, should not be an issue.

Ive heard that these are pretty reef safe as mentioned above. I would just keep them fed well.

They may very well eat small fish. A local friend had a pair. Anthias were definitely on the menu. They liked leaving the heads :crossedlips:
