We have decided it might be a cool idea to do a "how to" demo during the FFM. Many of us reefers use Vortech pumps for flow. They are absolutely AWESOME IMO.
So what do you do when the dry side bearings burn out?
Well, you replace them obviously or buy a new dry side. So for those interested about "how to" DIY this, we will be doing a demo at FFM at 2:30 to show everyone how it's done. And if people are not interested about how to do this...no problem. Ecotech sells replacements for a mere $238 for the MP40W.
My buddy Brian and I both have pumps that have seized to spin due to bearing wear and I believe new bearings cost around $10 and a little of your time to replace them. So join us to find out how it's done. Hope to see you there. Cheers!
