Original Facebook Announcement -

Enter cPUR! THE new way to measure REEF aquarium lighting! ☀️ PAR is dead! ☠️

PAR doesn’t tell us if it works for the coral or not. You can have high PAR and it not be suitable for the coral at all! That’s why we made PARwise so you could measure the spectrum to check that. Now we’re making it easier!

cPUR - (Coral Photosynthetically Usable Radiation) takes a measurement of the quantity of light from 380nm to 700nm and scores it against how usable it is, only measuring what’s usable and what’s not, based on actual coral Zooxanthellae absorbance curves.

You’ll also get details on how much percentage is wasted energy and how much is usable!

This is the new way to measure lighting and what’s more awesome is that EVERYONE who already has a PARwise - will get it for free!

Available in our PARwise web app Summer 2024

Come visit us at Interzoo, HALL 4A 108 for a sneak peek and demo!

So "PAR" is dead, but buy our "PAR"wise to analyze usable spectrum, but it is also "not a spectrometer".

Okay. Got it.
Lol, we'll see. I don't particularly understand it either, I guess we'll see. Just posting what I saw.
