Cuban basslet Hybrids

I am completely obsessed with the Cuban Basslets, and in my research so far I’ve come across 2 different types. One a platinum variant and one a hybrid of the Cuban basslet ;

Gramma dejongi var (Cuban basslet platinum

Gramma dejongi X loreto Hybrid (Cuban basslet x royal gramma )

I know that the platinum variant is sold by biota, sadly I haven’t been able to get my hands on a platinum variant, but wanted to see if anyone PERSONALLY had ever kept one? The hybrid variant I’ve only seen sold by a Netherlands fish supplier that seems to have ties with biota, also wanted to ask if anyone had more information on this hybrid and has anyone ever seen one in person?

You probably won’t find many people to have personally kept these species, their price tag is often too far out of the budget (usually coming in at around 1.5k if not more).

Depending on what you mean by personally kept one, I may be able to answer this for you. I have brought a couple into the LFS, I’ve only ever cared for one platinum but in terms of the ‘original’ Gramma dejongi, I’ve cared for a few. But I’ve never had one in my personal systems.

The hybrid is a rarity, it’s only surfaced a few times (naturally occurring hybrids are often few and far between, and being a Gramma species it is even more so). The only information you will ever probably get on this hybrid is that which you do yourself, very few people are lucky enough to see them, and even then, even fewer people have been the ones to pick one up.

It’s probably only been a couple months, think it was June/July when we got the last one.
Although, if I wanted I could get them again as there’s been a few surfacing again within the last couple weeks over here.

The platinum ones happen randomly and only from one of the harems so they're very infrequently available unfortunately.
