I just placed an order for a restock of the clean up crew and was curious of when everyone decides to restock. Do you restock on a regular basis? Do you have a formula of what you order? Or are you a person that restock a on an as needed basis?

I'll start... I generally place an order about two times a year. I usually watch the general population of my CUC and order when I begin to see more empty shells or start to see more diatoms on the sand. I usually restock with about a quarter to a third of what is suggested by John at reef cleaners for a full CUC.

ive had the same 5 snails for over 3 years now. theres always just enough food to keep them alive and happy. to many snails and they die of starvation, when they die they release phosphates into the water. this grows more algae, you go buy more snails and the cycle continues.
