Hi Folks
20231022_093924.jpg

Just wondering if this is a normal phenomenon. My trocus colony started a mass spawning this morning and now my cucumber has also started to spawn. Do they require male female interaction to breed. I only have the one cucumber in my tank.

They can split with 1

Yeah some sea cucumbers can reproduce asexually through fission (not all, but quite a few can). For sexual reproduction via spawning like this, they need both a male and female (or multiple males/females) to reproduce successfully.
