Hey all,

I have been culturing phyto for a little bit now and currently have way more than I can possible handle. I dose it to my own display but only go through about a gal a month which is not nearly enough to consume what I make, even with 2 pod cultures running at same time. I would much rather see it go somewhere to people who can use it rather than start dumping it down the drain.

Strains are:

Diatom - Chaetoceros Muellerii
Non-Diatom - Nannochloropsis

I usually just mix them together into 1 batch when harvesting so it would be a mix of the two. Not really looking to make money as much as maybe cover some of the cost of the jars/fert/silicate, if willing to pick up or meet near the Pittsburgh (south hills area) $20 per half gal seems reasonable to me!

Rather not dump it down the drain!

Never expected these cultures to produce off quite so fast honestly lol, I ended up spinning up a second pod just to eat up some phyto too.

That sounds like a good problem, we'll except you having to drink warm beverages now, LOL.

Between the phyto and the QT tank my wife might divorce me if I take up anymore room in the house lol
My hubby sometimes says I look at my fish more than him! He's been long suffering, of our 44 yrs of marriage I've had fish for 44 yrs! Some of those yrs were FW angelfish.

I wasn’t allowed to get a tank for a long time, our oldest finally went off to college this year so I was given a green light lol
