In a 10 gallon it should only take about 20 drops to get to .5ppm.
Add enough to get your levels to a therapeutic range which for cupramine is .4 to .5 ppm
What are you using to test your copper level? You should use a Seachem or Salifert copper test kit for Cupramin. In a 10 gallon it should only take about 20 drops to get to .5ppm. How many have you added? @Big G may be able to help as well
Actually, it takes 2 mL (40 drops) to reach 0.5ppm in a 10 gallon aquarium.
The 20 drops is just the initial dosage, and you are supposed to repeat it in 48 hours.
But always double-check using either a Salifert or Seachem copper test kit! Or a Hanna checker: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/coppe...truments-high-range-copper-checker-hi702.454/

Is there anything in the QT which might be absorbing it? Rock, sand??
I just have pvc pipes and artificial plants . I added the artificial plants to give a little more comfort to the fish. My hippo tang sometimes sleeps in it.
Oh my, I forgot! I had a carbon filter cartridge from Walmart or my hob filter I have. But I barely removed the carbon after I dosed the first day. Would it have absorbed a lot in the first day??
