Is the current orbit marine light enough power to run on my Fluval Evo 5 gallon tank only on blues? I will only have zoanthids in this tank!
Thank you

You want the whites to be off 100% of the time??
Hm.....I bet it would still work. A 5 Gal is only several inches deep! :)
hes been talking to a guy running blue only from a kessil on zoas. You want the whites to be off 100% of the time??

Here's the deal. different led run different stuff in the white blue. in kessil, nobody knows cuz they don't publish specs.
On a mars aqua, and older models led. white was 8 or 10 to 14000k, the blue channel is just blue. a narrow band of the spectrum only, not a true color temp. you added it to the whit to increase the temp. ie 14 to 20k
Some have a broader frequency range than others from manufacturer to manufacturer. .
the current is a very narrow band of blue on the blue channel.
that said Ive not seen a lot of folks who run an a blue only successfully.
yea if you have it it'll work. mix it up, experiment. if its the new light with lenses is pretty powerful, if its the non lens one its kinda weak, but actually relatively powerful on a tank that small..Ok well that seems to make since, so for best results il just use all the colors on the Orbit Marine!
