If you do a search for them on this site, there are quite a few threads about them. I considered buying them before I got my current lights decided not to based on the reviews.

That sucks. I only didn't buy because my tank is deep and recommendations were that these lights were better for a more shallow tank.

You get what you pay for i suppose....

To light a 48inch tank with a orbit is what 200?

To do it with radions, 800$?

Seems like a huge gap but the end game is quality

I have a Obit Marine that I bought almost two years ago, it is not the new Pro version. It is now on my 45 gallon JBJ. It works and works well, I don't know if it's strong enough for corals at the bottom of the tank but I'm just starting gout and my frags looked like they were dying so I moved them up and it seems to be working. I like it and I did pay over $300 for it brand new

The orbit worked for my needs fine for over a year. I upgraded for the reason my needs changed.

There have been quite a few threads about them or where they've popped up in the conversation where I've actually participated and your posts are the first anyone has mentioned this.

This is the first I've heard that they stopped working.
