Custom Apex Breakout Box Build Step By Step

Nice video. Looks very simple. Might have to try this out, should be fairly cheap to make.
 
I might be designing a cheap PCB that breaks out connections from a mini din 8 to 6 IO connectors (thinking stereo headphone jacks, banana jacks, or similar). Any interest? I would sell them in both a DIY kit (PCB + parts) that you have to solder yourself, or a fully assembled kit. Will be much cheaper than the $40 breakout that apex sells.
 
Might be for fun but won't be economical. As you as you say "you have to solder yourself", I doubt if there will much interest as people are afraid of soldering :-)

It wont be bad. The PCB would run around $5 for simplicity, connectors another $5. Assembled units easily under $20. All depends on how many I make. If I only make 1 yeah its not gonna be cheap. Make 10, it's much more reasonable.
