Hello all. I am planning to move AGAIN in November so im going to have to drain my FW tank again!!! This time im giving up the whole FW hobby all together & converting the tank into a reef tank! I've got most of what i want to do envisioned already, but there are little things im confused about. Its gonna eventually be an LPS and Softy Dominated tank and plan to have 1200 GPH or more return pump.
Now Questions are.
1. How big should the drain pipe be
2. How many drains should I have.
3. How low should I drill the holes for the bulkheads
4. Can I keep my Glass Versatop
5. How many Ecotech Radions would I need
6. Is there a way to run reactors off the return pump to avoid extra pumps

This is so frustrating.:tsk:

You left out a lot of details of the tank dimension and gallons. Are you planning to add a sump?

The answer to queries 1 - 3 is Glass-Holes. Don't know the size of the tank, but these kits are the best. Even comes with the drill bit to drill the tank.

And question 6, yes, you can tee off or run a manifold to run reactors or whatever.

Oh sorry. I originally had it in the tittle. But it's a 72G bow front and yes I plan to have a sump with a refugium.
