ok i have a frogpawn that is on a very long stem that look like some branches have been cut off or died away. My question is can i cut some of that stem so it is shorter for placing on a rock. and if so how high up can i go? PIC below:

there is another 1-1/2 inch of stem in the sand

You can go as high as you want.. I would leave at least an inch before the flesh of the coral...
