Still dosing and it's going away.

Question though. Does your bottle of Cyano Clean smell nasty?

My nose is a little stuffy tonight. It doesn't smell like roses, but it doesn't knock me back either.

Just cyano clean for me!

So general consensus is that this is working? Is everyone using just cyano clean or are people adding the coral snow and other stuff to help with it?

I'm doing the Coral Snow too. Too early to tell if its working, only 3 days in

Yea mine quite working and started coming back. I quit dosing because I had to go out of town and might try it again when I return.

Just as an FYI, there is a research thread going on here about using 3% H2O2 for cyano and there are some cool results. I knocked my cyano out in about 5 days dosing 1 ml/10 gal twice a day.

It might be cool interesting to see how this compares to peroxide. Not wanting to derail, just thought I would mention it. Whatever is in this does sound a lot more concentrated if you are only using a few drop for that large of a tank.

Manual removal and blasted the rocks (new filter sock in place)
20% water change
started 72 hours of darkness
after the dark period i resumed my regular light schedule and started dosing the cyano clean and it has not come back, im about 15 days in.

I just started dosing for only a couple of days now, so far nothing. Any updates from anyone that's been dosing for a while now?

There is 2 different bacterium that look identical

Spirulina

Cylindrospermum sp.

The 2 have different methods of treatment

As I mentioned above the cyano clean did not work for me. You identified a sample I sent to you as cyano, and I've switched to peroxide treatment. So far that is not working either after 2 weeks, sad to say :(
