Been way to long since i cycled a tank and never have done it before without real live rock.

Looking for some help with some oddities, I used microbacter7 (last dose of 2 weeks today) and shrimp in the tank for 68 hours then pulled it. Saw some ammonia spike but not a ton. Now two weeks later I am showing .05 Nitrite and just about 1 for nitrates. I guess I was expecting to see a lot higher nitrate. Is it just so low because of this being a 420 gallon system?

I just recall a lot higher numbers using fresh live rock decades ago even with my large system.

Thoughts on where I am at? Is this normal? do I need more ammonia source? Or is it about cycled, bring on some fish?

Thanks

That does seem low for 2 weeks after cycling with bottled bacteria. Could be great kit errors. You should also test the ammonia level to see where it it as well.
