Been reading posts all morning but since I'm new there is still a lot I don't understand yet :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Cycling my 150 G tank and here is where I am at:

Water added 4 Aug
45 lbs of live rock, 65 of dry rock and Live Fiji pink sand
8 Aug added Ammonia and Turbo Start 900
17 Aug (Ammonia 0) added fish: 2 Clowns, Goby, Sixline Wrasse, purple dottyback
Ammonia has been consistently 0.0 from 11 Aug until today
Ph has been 7.6 - 7.7

Nitrate:
17 Aug = 15.2
28 Aug = 17
3 Sep = 24
7 Sep = 13.8

Nitrite
7 Sep = 32

Haven't seen ugly stage yet (no algae). Been expecting brown to start but haven't see any yet. Been waiting and have pods and rock ready for the refugium once I see algae (food for pods). Am I on the right track? Thanks!!

Just noticed brown algae starting to grow on my live rock. Nothing on the sand or dry rock yet. Good sign (I think) lol

Thanks! I took a small gamble on adding fish, but talked with my LFS guy who is pretty good. He gave me all the possible warnings, but said what I started with wasn't unreasonable for the size tank I have and the way I started it. So far all fish are doing well, looking healthy and all very active and eating daily.
