Is it possible to grow cyphastrea coral on the back glass? or will it not encrust, properly, Will cyphastrea play nice with other color strains? and will it be agressive to the gsp already growing on my back glass.
If cyphastrea can grow on the back glass properly, will it be hard to scrape / frag?

Yes it can grow on the back glass, no it's not difficult to scrape off.

I'm not sure if they play nice though. I've never tried putting them close together. My guess is that one will eventually outcompete and overgrow the other one.

Not on the back but space invader my meteor shower on the bottom RF that encrusted on the glass. I basically had to chisel it off. I thought the glass would break but it didn't. I'll never put it in glass again.

Interesting... I had a Meteor Shower Cyphastrea encrust in my 135. It scraped off fairly easily.

Actually that's what mine was. I have space invader on the brain after moving my pectinia tonight.
This one was like bone attached to the glass. If I wasn't scrapping the tank I would have left it. It had been in the tank a few years and encrusted over the seam guard and started up the glass. Maybe they lay down a thicker skeleton when they get older?

Could be. Mine almost peeled off the glass when I removed the frag plug and then I had a little to scrape.
