I'm looking to get a cyphastrea coral, a while ago I saw this https://images.app.goo.gl/CtdY5PMGZHLcfHRw9 I thought it was amazing
I want to get something that the cyphastrea can grow on but what material can I use that is safe for my reef tank and the coral to encrust over ? :);Pompus

Certain ceramics will work.

those statues your LFS has work (the Death Stars, castles, dinosaur bones, etc)

And I believe there are some vendors that provide custom pieces for encrusting corals as well (I don’t remember who but I’ll post again if I can think of them)

Glass and most (but not all) ceramic should be safe for use in a reef tank.

Just adding that if you have any local friends with a 3d printer then abs or petg can be used to make anything you want that is reefsafe(if they can find the design or create themselves)
