I don't remember if I had gorgonians when I treated my tank, all 3 conchs came out fine though. It did kill green star polyps and Xenia, like you said, bonus!
How long did you let it go before turning on your skimmer, carbon and doing water changes?
It's crazy... the BCP are getting worse looking by the hour. haha

Here's the BCP after 36 hours.
Closed up, ticked off, thinning out.

Further decimation of the BCP!
Another 24 hours.

Everything is now back online.
Carbon, skimmer, auto water changes (which i doubled).
Also had to bring the Mangrove tank back online. Fingers crossed I don't lose the pistol shrimp.

Gorgonians are still closed up.
Hoping they pull through. We shall see.

So tomorrow night is a week since adding the Fluke Tabs.
Here is what's left of the BCP!

The only bummer out of all is I seem to have lost most of my beautiful gorgonians. :(
There are a couple left but not looking so good.
The ones that were in my Mangrove tank which I had offline for the first few days of treatment seem to be relatively ok so far.

And the only coral that seem affected are my two Stylophora. Not sure why?
But they are half closed and just generally ticked off looking.
All my other LPS and SPS look great.

Unrelated to the BCP, but do you ever have unwanted algae issues, hair algae, bubble algae, etc. ? If so what are your best prevention practices? I've been following your tanks for a couple years and was just curious.

Hi, ever since I've started using real live rock and live sand from Tampa Bay Saltwater, I haven't had any unwanted algae to talk about.
I also keep tangs and a heavy clean up crew consisting of blue leg hermits, cerith snails, serpent stars, cucumbers, other various snails, fighting conches...
I also try not to overfeed, and my main staple of food is a high quality fresh frozen food like Larry's Reef Frenzy. Other typical frozen cubes and dry foods are a very small percentage of what I feed.
I do have to clean my glass every other day. The sand bed will get a layer of green on it if its not being stirred and sifted by CUC. And the rocks occasionally need to be blown off.
But nothing major like HA or BA outbreaks.

Out of curiosity, when you say "heavy clean up crew" how many are you actually using per gallon? This is one subject where I have seen completely different recommendations, ranging from one snail per gallon (reef cleaners recommends this) to little more than one per 10 gallons. Also, do you manage to keep your snails alive? Mine, in spite of lengthy acclimation usually last anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of months...

Thanks!

I dunno exactly. If you read the contents of "The Package" here, this is what I start with. See the 200g column.
http://tbsaltwater.com/thepackage/package_chart.html

And last week i placed a refresh order with reef cleaners for 100 dwarf ceriths, 75 florida ceriths, 3 fighting conch, and 30 nassarius. Over time snails die off. My tank is way too big to keep track though.

Just wanted to show off pics of my rocks completely free of BCP!!!
Can't even tell they were there, and I didn't even have to scrub them or anything.
The entire tank is clean and free of BCP.
Sayonara you little cockroaches! :D
