Elevated levels of Tin were the only thing that stood out.
No idea where that would have come from. o_O

Yeah everything looks good or within range except the tin. Randy had an article that showed some of the things that add metals and it lists tin. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-04/rhf/feature/

I think I'll get mine tested to see if I end up with similar results.

That stinks but better to start over sooner rather than later. I'm looking forward to seeing your new start.

Are you going to stick with the same sump? If so, will you keep the cheato in the first section.?

Late night but I made it back from the airport and got it all in the tank.

Here's the obligatory shot of one of my kids making the airport run with me.
The girl one decided to stay home with Mom this time. Girls!

And THIS is why 5 boxes weigh in at 285lbs!
Layers of heavy duty plastic bags and real NSW.

It was dark out when I was unboxing stuff outside but here's a quick shot of a random rock.

The tank is super cloudy now but I'll get some better pics later this weekend. :)

Since I started my tank I really wanted a refugium like what you had with algae. I thought it would be a necessity to keeping a healthy reef, but because of my stand design I was unable to ever implement it. I was surprised that it caused you trouble after doing so well. I guess like you mentioned earlier "the basics" seems to work well.
I am eager to see this tank back up and running. Gotta support the Elos owners!!

24 hours in.... Ammonia has never registered... Nitrates are somewhere around 1-3 ppm. :)

A) I should have trimmed it like I always have in the past
B) I shouldn't have let my Nitrates bottom out at zero.

Is it possible for unwanted hitchhikers to come on those rocks??
Of course. Usually in the form of crabs. Like gorillas.
Know what else hitch hiked in? What looks like a 3.5" Seaweed Blenny.
Haven't confirmed that yet though since he's hiding and I barely have any light over the tank at the moment.
Also saw a bunch of porcelain crabs already.

Sorry about your losses Dennis. Looks like we started around the same time a had to tear our tanks down about the same time also. Mine crashed about a month ago.(all my fault) 2nd time around we are both going to have thriving tanks with no issues, only success!!

I'm tempted to bring a container with me to FLA when we go down for vacation, because that rock looks better than anything we get up here in Canada. I'd probably end up in Federal prison if I got caught!

Dennis best to reset. Sometimes tanks don't go the way we plan. All the planning in the world will be trumped by nature.
