Hello All,

I picked up what I believe to be a flowerpot coral.

Part of the coral looks to be damaged and I am wondering if there is anything that can be done to help that portion recover? I am also wondering what would cause damage like this?

I have attached a picture of the coral.

Thanks in advance!

Typical of flower pots, they are quite difficult to keep and go downhill quick.

Nothing much you can do but provide stable reef parameters and such.

Good luck

keep your system as stable as possible and try to feed it often. They can be quite difficult.

Thanks! I have heard they can be quite difficult to keep so we will see how I fair with trying to maintain what is left.

I have a flowerpot, and it has been doing very well. I don't know what's wrong. That one part seems to be dead.
