Hello all,
I just got a Pectinia coral from my LFS about a week ago, when gluing it to the rock, I was unable to use super glue and had to use coral putty when placing/setting the coral, I damaged about half the tips and some of the base. The coral had some bare tips at purchase that the workers told me was new growth, since the irritation, they have receded more and are completely bare. The first day I added it, I saw the rabbit fish take a nip at a tip as well but it doesn’t look like he’s doing it anymore. (He’s eaten entire colonies of zoas before) Should I take some sort of action? A dip might do more harm than good trying to unstick it from the putty. Another idea is snipping the bare part to where the flesh is. Please let me know if you have any tips.
I’ll post pictures tomorrow when the lights are on.

Steady ph, alk, salinity, temp, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate,
It’s in medium/low flow and medium/low light.
