damsel died

i have 2 clowns and 2 damsels but one damsel jumped and died but the other one, was dead 2 weeks after brought home no sign of disease just a little bit damage on fins. what is the chance of clownfishes bully the guy and stressed out ?

clowns can be mean, but usually more when they've been established for awhile. how long have they been in the tank?

did you see any aggression? it could also be a disease of some sort

it's the black/white clowns and been in tank since 8 months now but just transfer to new tank for 2 months. and it's azure damsel.

There was no sign of aggresion at all and no sign of diseases ( unless its internal diseases) but no white spot or nothing. just a little damage on the fins

Damsals are pretty mean with limited space, the torn fins indicate they were definitely fighting and one jumping out of the tank confirms it again. They’re even more prone to this if the tank isn’t fed like 3x a day but space is probably the biggest issue

Clowns are damsels too, so I wouldn't be surprised to see some aggression.

Did your clowns recently start hosting a nem or a coral? A mature female would easily be capable.

it's a IM Lagoon 25 gallons. but there was no sign of aggresions at all is the thing lol. so wasnt too sure whats going on

This. People forget that Clowns are just another type of Damsel so it wouldn't surprise me if in a smaller tank they viewed other Damsels as threats and killed them off. Clowns of any kind can be very territorial/aggressive once established and something encroaches on their set turf.

It just sad cause they only hang on the back of the tank most of the time. I just wanted to add some active fish lol. But it could be agression cause i saw the damsel only hide most of the time.
Now i have to reconsider if i should get a six line wrasse this weekend...

There’s your problem (those) fish shouldn’t be staying in one spot or hiding they definitely weren’t comfortable. If you see that behavior in the future now you know what’s going on, suprised you didn’t get to witness the clowns corner the damsals though. I had only 2 blue damsals in a tank and it’s very obvious one was bullying

dang sucks that i have no problem with corals but with fishes instead lol. what is the chance of add a six line wrasse in it? will it survive?
