Hi all,

Been doing some research on blue fish and came across the damsels, whether azure, sapphire or Starcki's

I have a pygmy fire angelfish already and was wondering if blue would be compatible with orange? I can't find anything reliable on the internet angel vs damsel.

Thank you!

Damsels can tend to attack anything in its territory (including fingers from the tank owner) - You can try it - I mean - if you want to put one damsel in - its going to establish a territory - what size is the tank? It's not clear whether you're asking color wise would blue be compatible with orange - yes it would - if you're talking fish thats an individual question that can only be answered when you add the damsel. A big enough tank will be fine though

As mentioned tank size will have a lot to do with the answers given. I keep a flame Angel with a coral beauty and 5 damsels but it's a 330g tank
I think keeping several vs 1 also helps (several damsels that is). I am curious about your experience - its rare for fish not to acclimate to the rest?

I'm not sure I understand the question. I keep a yellow tail, yellow belly and 3 Talbot damsels so nit all the same species. Two of the Talbot appear to have formed a pair. They all have there own section of the tank were they hang out. The two blues have been together for years and came over from my 180g

I have a springeri, 2 azure s and one lemon damsel along with a 6 line and 9 other fish including wrasses and coral beauty in a 65g tank and the neighborhood rocks.
