Have had this guy in QT for 3 weeks. From day one it has had this dark spot on its head. Not sure if it has an infection or just dark scales? It has not gotten any smaller or bigger over time. Eating very well and not breathing hard.

Should I be trying to treat or does it just have a dark mark?

While it just looks like a bruise in the photos, in the video, the fish looks a bit “off”, breathing a bit hard, slightly cloudy skin and swimming with folded fins.

What else is in with this fish?
Have you treated it with anything yet?

He was in this QT tank with 10 other green chromis and a cleaner wrasse. I think he was breathing hard because he was stressed out after I caught all of the other fish with a net as he was trying not to get caught.

I treated the tank with prazipro and metroplex. I left him in here by himself for not since I can't tell what this mark is.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
