So i have downsized from my deep blue 80 to the nuvo 40. I have a few questions.

1) What lighting should i use. Looking at 1 xr30w gen2 or two ai prime hds?

2) should i run bio pellets, dropin algea scrubber or turn a chamber into a refugium?

3)is one mp10 good for a mixed reefs flow?

4)skimmer suggestions.bright now i have the ghost skimmer

5)what return pump should i upgrade to

6) any suggestions on mounting apex in the stand its the older stlye im stand

Thanks for checking this out and any input

I upgraded to Sicce 3.0 714 gph. Tight fit but doable.
Using Tunze 9001, low profile, quiet, works well.
Other than that Macro Algae in one chamber, and Aquashield 14 watt UV in overflow.

So a brief update.
I added a radion xr30w gen2
I have a tunze 9004 skimmer coming
I started to mount my apex in one section of the stand
I'm going to use a 5 gallon tank for my ato reservior

Things I'm still trying to figure out
If I'm going to run chemi pure or get gfo and carbon in bags
What pump I'm going to put for a return.
Also have to aquascape and clean as n the tank and stand

As far as stocking I'm decided to keep my phantom and mochavinci pair ( going to rehome my snowflake and reg oc clown pair)
I have a urchin, peppermint shrimp, and a few hermits I'm going to transfer over.
I'm going to add a few different kind of snails.
A emerald crab
Cleaner shrimp
Looking at adding
Pink streaked wrasse
Cardinal
Rainford goby
Lawn mower blenny
Fire fish
Scizzor tail dart fish
Is that to much?

A little update.

My live stock list is
A pair of clowns
Diamond tail wrasse male
Firefish
Lawnmower blenny
2 pincushion urchins
Emerald crab
A bunch of hermits (electric blue, blue leg, red leg, scarlet reef)
Turbo snails
Astrea snails
Ninja star snails

For equipment i am running from left to right
a tunze 9004 dc skimmer
I'm reactor with gfo
Stock return, heater, and ato sensors
Ph and temp probes, top off and dosing lines
And a media caddy with floss carbon

I'm running a gen 1 radion xr30w. Using the coral lab ab+ ( any one else running this same light) what schedule, intensity and settings are you running.

I have a mp10 that I upgraded to a qd running g on lagoon and switching up from time to time

I am having some algea issues and am trying to clear that up. It's kind of getting away from me I'm doing a water change of 5 gallons once a week and the past few weeks I've done two. I've been manually removing algea before the water change. I've also been changing out the carb on and gfo once a week to try to help lower my levels. ( they are reading zero but I know the algea is consuming it and I believe my rock is leaking it back into the tank)

Any suggestions on the the tank, algea issue please feel free.

Thanks in advance

A little update I am running a second mp10. And the algea is pretty much gone except for some brypsis (debating using g reef flux) and turf algea. The urchins and emeral are taking for the green turf algea tho.

The I have been dosing alk, cal and mag by hand daily and will be setting up my doser soon.

My numbers on phos and nitrate have been pretty stable and almost to low on phosphate so I'm going to take the gfo off line and and see if it creeps up.

Here's some pics
