Just thought i would give you guys a quick look at my marine tank over here in blighty.Running 6 x T5 24 watt tubes now 2 x ATI blue plus and 2 x ATI aquablue speziale and 2 x actinic tubes and i am also running the 2 x aquarays that i have had in since the tank build. The bubble magus 150 Pro now and not the NAC6SE that is in the image.Running 2 x heaters,150 watt back up heater and a 200 watt main heater.the main 200 watt heater is controlled by A TC-10 temp controller. Also i have purchased a Ecotech vortech mp20 P/H that i have running in reef crest mode during day and night mode.Started using cheato about two months ago and it has worked wonders in reducing my nitrates and it also acts as a good filter to block the large particles out from the main tank.Forgot to mention i have also started to run a 6" DSB which has been running for approx 2 mnths now and has started showing signs of life.

And here is a FTS.

The Sump.

The sump is setup with 4 chambers (chamber 1. water in + back up heater, chamber 2. bubble stop, chamber 3. DSB + cheato, chamber 4. Return chamber, housing R/pump,skimmer and phos reactor + main heater (200watt) .You will notice that i am tight for space thats why everything is back to front and i would have preferred the skimmer in chamber 1 but everything is doing nicely the way it is.I also run a reefloat auto topup.

Please feel free to criticise as thats how i manage to correct my mistakes.

Never mind par readings luke. My credit card has increased more than my par readings over the last couple of days. The wife dosen't even know what will be popping through the letter-box in 5-7 days time. I might be sleeping on your couch this time next week with my father and his gay lover in tow.:squigglemouth:

BM is ok but i expected more from it,so i have just ordered a SWC 160 cone 220v from luke and it should be here at the end of the week. Just a word to anybody out there reading this thread. If anybody out there is looking for a company to buy a skimmer from go through luke at SWC Skimmer he is a top bloke and an adsolute gem to deal with.

Cheers spinklerdudes,i try to minimise as much as possible unless its corals. There is only 40kg of live rock in the tank,i would like less but that is tempting fate. There is alot of people over here in the UK using less and less rock and cutting back on biological filtration with no detrimental effects and their tanks look superb.
