I am seeing hydroids on my glass the past few days and now I am getting nervous with everything I see. Is this dead algae on my rock or something else. The rock I used was really reef rock that we in water at my LFS. Also any recommendations on managing the hydroids. I know a lot of people just say that will go away with time.

Youre seeing macroalgaes. safe and may or may not survive.
On hydroids, remove with credit card and assure they get no suspended food. They can colonize and even sting coral.

Okay thank you. No corals yet. Wanted to wait at least 4 months. My tank is only a month old. Would you suggest switching to just pellets for my 2 clowns making sure they eat everything? I have been alternating Mysis and pellets once a day.

Feed both and add flake food to their diet

Okay so now I am seeing more hydroids on my rocks. They are very small. Why should I do and how concerned should I be. This is a photo and a video.
