Dead/Dying Thread? Try #Threadmedic

What's up Reef2Reef! I've been having some fun with some dead/dying threads lately. If you've ever seen some of the weird/silly/stupid state laws, I'm going to use those to help bring some life back to some of these threads! My friends @tharbin and @Fish Styx created a hashtag #threadmedic to help as a bat signal.

If you see a thread in need of some CPR or resuscitation, feel free to throw the hashtag out there!

Ok at the risk of showing my ignorance what does this hashtag actual do?

EDIT: I really am ignorant and have no idea what the hashtag does . I know what tagging someone does but I have no idea what a hashtag is used for

Because there used to be a PINNED thread, stating to use the SEARCH feature to make sure duplicates were not happening...

Calls me (or anyone watching the Hashtag) to come and throw a silly but relatable state law (that probably shouldn't be a state law) to help bring some humor to the thread. It doesn't have to be a law, but it's a fun way to deescalate?

If you click on a hashtag, you can choose to "follow" that and get notifications if it's used.
