The feather dusters are looking better and I've managed to increase my phosphate to 0.02, not a lot but it was previously bottomed out.

Couldn't make it to Nemo over the weekend or today, definitely this week. Unfortunately it's over an hour away.

FINALLY I went to Nemo it was incredible, very clean tanks and everything felt reasonably priced. I got a few hermits, a conch and some corals. A photosyntheic gorg, a maze brain and a montipora! I will update yall once everything is settled.

Dusters looking better, got some oyster feast for them while I was at nemo.

Been awhile, seen some improvement in less algae and higher nitrate and phosphate. I'm going to start dosing nitrate, I've been dosing phosphate and that's the only way I've been able to raise it. Phosphate around .05 nitrate stuck at less than 1ppm. Im leaving for pennsylvania today, ill be staying for about a week so we'll see how the tank is doing when I come back, and ill finally glue those corals. Here's some pics

Got some new gadgets, I'm excited to try these out, I'm not hooking them up yet, because I want to upgrade my pump again since these tamper with the flow rate. Just got back from PA and the conch definitely put some work in, and my tank sitter did a great job! I'll post some pics tomorrow when the lights are on.

Forgot to update yall, so the red cyano is starting to die back, still got some dino towards the back where flow is lower, hopefully the flow upgrades will fix that. My current set up is not strong enough even though its a 538gph pump, the y-splitter dampens flow way more than I thought it did. Im going to get two mightyjet 266gph pumps hooked up to those spinstreams and if that's not enough, ill hookup a powered too. My neonitro gets here today so im excited to get some nitrate in the system, the blasto and the mushrooms are dying for some. Im going to mount all the corals today or tomorrow, the conch keeps knocking them over. Im going to give some credit to the hermit crabs i got from nemo, these guys actually work, they seem to move together and clean an area and move on, its pretty fun to watch and they are much more useful than the hermits I had in the past.

I’m loving my new hermit crabs too-I got ten blue legged and ten red legged. If I scrub the GHA to a shorter length they will scrape the rest right out of the rock. I’m a little worried I’m going to have to supplement considering the short work they are making of my algae problems. I read they can eat cyano, which I am also battling. Have you observed the eating any of yours? I feel like mine *might* be but I’m not really certain. Maybe they prefer the algae and they’ll get the cyano later?

Haven't seen them eat any cyano, but there's not much left in my tank anyways, maybe they had something to do with that but I think it was mostly the conch. I wouldn't worry about supplementing hermit crabs since they are detrivores as well.

Im loving the spinstream nozzles, they are a little loud when first installed but that's supposed to go away after 1-2 weeks. I'll post a video later once all my corals open back up.

I had that spin stream nozzle. I loved it! It does require periodic cleaning but not especially often. It does end up going silent—mine only took a couple days.

Totally forgot to get a video for yall but look at this! A baby turkey wing clam (Im pretty sure), this definitely came in with the rocks from @LiverockRocks crazy to still have life popping up months later! This little guy really made my day, super cool!

I never really thought about bivalves moving around aquascapes, but they sure do. There are quite a few turkey wings living the dream in our holding systems.

He was moving around on the sand bed today, hes attached to a little shell for now, I wonder where he'll decide to settle.

Feather dusters are doing really well again, they seem to growing larger again. I've come up with theory as to why they shed their crowns and closed up. I think it was peroxide dosing, they started to decline around the same time I started dosing peroxide for dinos and cyano. Now since I've stopped they've started to go back on the upswing. Yesterday I dosed some to help kill off the remaining cyano and dino and noticed they all closed up soon afterward. So I want be doing it anymore and ime it doesnt really help get rid of algae when its dosed into the tank, it just seems to stunt its growth abit. I would get a picture of the feather dusters but my cat is sleeping on top of me so im trapped for now.
