delayed shipping times..... 7 days, for a small order??

i ordered 2 items from kreative reefer, a media basket, and a 2.75 sock adapter (for my tideline 62g) on july 15th, and today is the 23rd..?

i was going to call today to cancel the order.. and noticed that it finally got shipped out yesterday... so 7 days for 2 items that'll fit in one small box. this is not a good response time for such a small order. i'm wondering if there making these on the fly, instead of having them on-hand for shipping..

I think we have all been extremely spoiled by Amazon. That overnight shipping just ruined everything for me.
I recently bought an item and it took 4-5 days for the person to get it shipped and I was annoyed.
Haven't heard of the vendor you used but he may have had to make the products, or wait on shipping supplies, or just issues in his life.
I don't think the size of the order has much to do with it.
Hopefully the order makes it to you without any further delays.

Sometimes it happens when you order from a small business.....no big deal and honestly certainly doesn't warrant being blasted on a public forum. Custom aquarium products are rarely critical items.
The "about us" says he balances a full time job with the multiple businesses hes running.

100%. I'm just as guilty.

Some smaller companies take longer to ship out items. They could have ran into an issue that caused the shipping delay.

I've found some small companies in manufacturing don't keep a huge inventory and often they have to manufacture orders which can slow things down.
