Deresa gaping need help

Have a 6" deresa on BB pane with 6 x54t5ho over a 90g that is gaping big time. Still responding strong to shadow if I used a salt container lid. No pest,snails, etc that are bothering it. Help!,,,,

How long has you had the clam? Can you put an image?

There are some excellent stickies in the clam forum. Do you suspect Pinch Mantle disease?

Mantle are fully extended. Color looks good and I'm 100% sure it's not PM. Only thing off is the intake siphon gaping for about a week now.

Probably not the lighting, since I think Deresa needs the least light of all.

how do you know its gaping? My derasa often had his intake open huge, you could see all his "gills" or whatever they are.
