Designer Clove Polyps?

I just bought a frag that appears to be a WWC Fireworks Clove Polyps or similar morph. Since then I have read a lot of horror stories regarding blue clove polyps taking over tanks. My first question is if the "Fireworks" variety is as prolific. My second question is if there is any way to stop the spread? Isolating on an island? Thanks!

Putting them on an island is a good idea. They for a mat much like gsp. If that helps
