Deskmate 4.8 classic bowing??

Anybody heard of a Deskmate 4.8 bowing? I just noticed today it’s not straight from the sides and I’m able to push the side of the tank inwards. It’s more noticeable on the left side where I placed a straight line to show how much is bowing out @ESHOPPS.INC

Is this common with acrylic tanks? This has been my first acrylic tank so I’m not sure as to why it’s doing this and if it’s normal

Try showing an arrow from inside corner to inside corner instead. Inside to outside on the opposite side will never be parallel with the glass or acrylic.

I find it strange that it doesn’t take much strength to push the sides inwards. So that to me is concerning lol

Acrylic absorbs water at a very very slow rate, so acrylic will bow with time both from light heat and being near/in contact with water.
With that tank size I wouldn't be horribly concerned, only if it starts putting pressure on the seams... but at the same time I'm guessing these are chemically welded, so there probably isn't need for concern.
