This will be fun. I'm a huge fan of DD tanks.

Did you purchase reef ready with the stock overflows or are you drilling and adding an external box?

Can I just say, if you haven't already decided.. have the tank drilled for a shadow overflow. You'll love the extra room inside the tank :). You may not like the fact the tank sticks out from the wall a little further but I was lucky enough to have mine build in-wall.

Looking forward to more updates!

This is my first DD and always wanted one. The overflows are stock ones unfortunately. The tank will be at least a foot off wall to be able to get behind. I will have doors or false wall to cover gap when not needed to get behind

That is all right.. 36" is insanely deep, even with the overflows. So many options for aquascaping with nice depth.

Oh yeah I have some ideas just see how they pan out. I have a 150 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank with about 100-150 more lbs of live rock. Have about 100 in the 120 currently running

please share the progress of the stand build... thats my favorite part of new builds... the DIY stands.

Will do. I have a friend building at his place then bringing over Saturday. With it being so tall and wide we will have to put together once in house
