Have not ran di in 3 yrs, no issues, I get down to 4 tds without it, so call it good to go.

TDS can be deceiving because maybe that 4 TDS in your specific water because of the source is fairly clean but I’m pretty sure my water at 7 TDS was a mess of silicates and my algae outbreaks didn’t get bad until I didn’t realize I was using RO/DI water with 7 TDS. Could be coincidence but now from now on I’m playing it safe.

Before in the 200s, after the first 3 stages around 40-50, after DI resin 0.

40-50 TDS after your membrane is an indicator your membrane is either not installed 100% correctly or it is toast. And at 40-50 TDS you're going to chew through resin like no tomorrow.

I think that still really high and only around 75% rejection rates. There is others that is way more knowledgable than I on this board. Might be worthwhile lowering the output TDs to the di part. The stages before di should be doing more of he heavy lifting. getting the specs on the filters in it and the psi going into it.

I’m going to remove my DI resin and check with my Hanna TDS meter today. The TDS meter I used for this was an amazon one that is giving me inconsistent readings. Will report back.

Well, I did it. I bought the three stage DI system from BRS. Immediately (after it arrived of course) I realize how is the water going to get through all these canisters. Why I didn't think of that until now?????. So, am I going to need a booster pump or will it make it through just really slow?

If your RO membrane isn't working well, there are a couple things to think about. 1, how old is it. 2, what size and capacity is it? 3, do you have enough pressure?
RO membranes come in different flavors & capacities. Check yours out. The 150GPD membranes, for instance, need more pressure to work correctly than the 75gpd membranes if I remember correctly.

I might have missed it but what is the PSI you have currently going into your system? And you shouldn't need a booster pump, it will trickle through every stage which is what it's supposed to do:)

I was wondering the same thing. I bought a gauge to find out. Something I should have already.

Thanks for this. I just bought BRS pro resins and an extra canister to add on to my existing 6 stage unit. No point wasting the other two DI canisters on the existing unit.

So I've been making some upgrades. Not quite finished yet but here's a pic. I noticed a odd smell in the collection can today. Not so sure it should be smelling like anything. What's going on there?
