Would he be able to move all rock and inverts to the bucket (keeping it filtered) for 76 days while treating the clown in the (now empty) dt, where pvc could be added for hiding places? Once copper treatment is done he could clean it out to remove all traces of copper, and when the fallow is over all the bucket’s contents could be moved back in. So essentially a reverse (more complex) qt and fallow where everything but the fish stays?
Or is this mad science?

Ich does fall off and come back. If after 2 weeks nothing happens then you are probably in the “safe zone” but the full period where ich can show up is 76 days. Until then you cannot guarantee you are ich free.
