After seeing a number of diamond bandsaws yesterday, i'm sold on the ease and control. Does anyone have any feedback on SpeedsterXL bandsaws? Everyone had Inlands, but I have found the Speedster for about the same cost with a second diamond blade ($58 extra, normally). It has a 3yr warranty, so I figure it can;t be too bad, but wanted to make sure I wasn't getting into a piece of crap. Diamond tech sells high end diamond band saws, too. This one is sleighted as the ecomony from Diamond Tech. Anyone with experience or opinions?

Same here. I just got the saw and so far so good. I paid 202.00 including shipping from an Inland dealer on eBay.

unless you want to spend 500+ on one with all sealed bearings, i would stick with the inland, if for no other reason as I, along with many others i know have had great success with them.

I have the speedster. It is the 1st one I have purchased and Im not too happy with it. When I 1st bought it, it worked great but agter about 6 months use it seems like it needs a stronger motor. I am on the virge of buying one of the inland models to compare.

the problem is the bearing get corroded, and then eventually seizes.

There is a model out, dont remember who makes it, but its about 500 bucks, but has all sealed bearings, and would run forever.

Excellent info. INland it is. All the ones I've seen come with two blades, but they mention the rock/stone cutting blade and the other blade, so I wasn't sure if they were both diamond blades. Looks like I'm going with the Inland.
