Diamond Goby gone

I recently bought a diamond goby and I haven't seen it the last 3 days. It dashed behind the rockwork. I'm thinking it is dead but maybe it just stays back there? I also bought a pistol shrimp and I saw that peeking out during feeding time. Thoughts would be appreciated.

from my experience, diamond gobies aren't reclusive and tend to go around the tank sifting sand. If you haven't seen it for 3 days, chances are that it has expired.

I bought one a few weeks ago didnt see it for a week then took all the rocks out of my tank to re-do my aquascape and he was nowhere to be found. He probably jumped out of my tank tbh...ive looked all around my tank for his remains but dont see anything lol

I’d leave it and just keep an eye out.
But that’s just me with fish that can vanish for days and weeks on end and come back out as if nothing happened. Most notably Wrasses and Tilefish will do this due to them being rather timid.
