Diamond gobys

I had 2 diamond gobys when I first got them they used to stay together all the time and clean and swim. 2 weeks later they stopped coming out so much they would just stay around there home they made under a rock I didn't understand why unfortunately I found one dead lastnight the other gobys hasn't came out at all. Does anyone know any information about this situation.

What size tank? What tankmates were in the tank? What were they eating? Is it an active space where the tank is? What kind of cover is on the tank? What was the feeding schedule? How old is the tank?

My first guess with Diamond Gobys would be that they starved. When you fed your tank did you see them eating (word on the street is that some that eat prepared foods will still starve eventually)? I had a couple of Twinspot Gobys that sifted sand for meals and wouldn't touch a thing I fed the tank. I kept them alive by seeding the sand around their burrow with small sinking pellet food (New Life Spectrum). GL

Tank is a 55 gallon I have a ****** trigger,2 clown fish,a blue tang, a yellow tang and a flame hawkfish it is in a active spot in my living room I give them spectrum pellets in the morning and frozen brine at nite

While there may have been little or no aggression directed at the diamond gobies they still may have been intimidated and stressed which could lead to hiding and even starvation. One of diamond gobies escape response is to dart straight up. In aquaria this translates to jumping, which if there is a glass top, could lead to injury.

Ohh wow didn't think that I actually have built my own top with screen so if they hit that it shouldn't hurt as much as glass
