Hi guys !

Hoping someone can give me some advice... About 2 weeks ago I had to pull out one of my live rocks and rinse with hot water to get a mantis shrimp out... I noticed for the last week that i got a diatom bloom and the rock I had pulled out is turning all white now.

So my question is... Is this rock causing the diatom bloom and will the rock eventually regain its live rock color??
Thank you!!

That's what I figured ... Could the mini cycle cause any harm to my corals or fish already in the tank? I checked water and everything still seems okay except my nitrate is at about 20 ppm

should be fine. Looks like your bacteria handled the cycle. Just do your normal nutrient export and a normal water change. Bloom should go away
