I usually dose 100ml a day with all for reef hourly 100ml by the end of the day. For 2 days my afr container was empty didnt realize. My alk dropped from 8.5 to 7.3. So what i did was im trying to rise alk slowly. I split the 79ml dose of alk for 3 parts i added 25ml of alk. And then i added the 100ml missing for afr all at once my tank is a 150G loaded with corals how bad did i mess up?

Your tank will be more than fine. I don’t see any mistake made.

The mistake adding 26ml of alk of redsea, and then adding my all for reef dose for the day that i missed 100ml at once so i jacked my alk to 1.8DkH im freaking out

It’s still fine. You will soon see what I’m talking about. Reef tanks don’t need to be coddled or placed in bubble wrap. I think people are way too overly concerned with stability.

You can report back if you notice any changes. I doubt you’ll need to.

About the 1.0dkh limit

You’ll see what I’m talking about soon. When it works out, you will notice how much fear mongering there really is. 🙂

Breathe. Don't panic.

The issue is not consuming that much alk. The problem adding that much alk at once and stability
I understand your concern. However you will most likely be fine. Your alk is still within range. I’m a huge stick head and I’ve had about the same swing before with kalk overdoses. The thing that is most important is that everything was super happy and healthy prior. Assuming it was this will not kill everything. Just let the alk come back naturally. I have a 200g system and I only dose about 30-40ml of AFR a day and supplement the rest with kalkwasser. I solely use it for trace elements

Oh wait i see what u mean so technically if my tank consume 1.0dkh a day and i added for example 1.8dkh i technicallt added 0.8 extra i get ut

Stability is very important, with that being said you messing up once is fine, it’s a blip on the timeline. What would affect your stability is if you continue to do this a lot and there was a lot of ups and downs you should be fine

As others have said, It'll be fine. That drop and raise is nothing in a stable tank.

If my doser stopped, I would drop close to 3 dKh in a day.

It's happened a few times, and each time I've just raised it back over a day or two.

Nothing bad ever happened to the coral.
