Hey all… just wanted to get your opinions on the new scape I did… kinda my first time doing anything like this and I’m afraid I got lost in the “build” haha… the highest point of the structure is 10 inches high. And the water line of the tank is 14 inches however the majority of the structure is only have 50% of the tank height… it’s gonna be a LPS softie dominant with some slow growing sps. I’m just worried that I built to much and my fish won’t have room to swim.. i was just trying to create as many “safe zones” for the fish to decrease aggression.
Any input before I start applying the epoxy would be amazing :)!

I tried posting a video of the structure to get a more 3d effect, but it’s not letting me upload it :/.

Rockwork looks awesome! I wouldn't be too concerned about the high point of the rock being so close to the surface, but it would limit your coral options in those areas.

The fish will enjoy exploring around all those branches.

Looks cool. I think you'll be fine with softies and lps with that height provided there is good flow elsewhere and you don't put most of them on the top surfaces. It will be really hard for lps like elegance corals which need high par to exist there with only two inches to the water surface.

very artistic and creates lots of flow zones for small tangs etc. Sand or Bare?
Would be a little concerned that there would not be enough sleeping spot/hidey holes for some fish, ie wrasses. Agree it is not too tall
best of luck, =hope to see the final with water

it’s definitely gonna be a sandy bottom… I have some extra rock that I was gonna build a tiny cave with just in case. Thanks for the heads up :)!

Yea if I was gonna get any LPS it would have to be the easier ones to handle. Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the reply! I can’t wait till I can finally start putting the whole tank together and have it finished lol

I think it looks really cool! My only critique would be that a lot of the structure appears to be the same height at the top. It could be a little more leading to your eye if you had different plateaus. Or one side higher then the other.

Hey so I finally finished epoxying the rock so I could actually lift it up. Still think I didn’t get lost in the build? Lol it just seems like a lot of people have the build in the center of the tank leaving more room on the sides. I hope the video loads this time lol.
