I have been buying from a high end vender for years now and have spent a lot of money with him. I bought a faded frag of Homewrecker from him over a year ago and it grew out to be the size of a half dollar. He started asking me to let him frag it and I told him I doesn’t really want to but he kept asking. Finally I told him I would trade the piece for a frag of Bleeding Avenger and he agreed. I sent hem the coral and shipped it exactly as he told me using no heat pac at his request. The coral died two days later. He offered me a 500 credit saying he usually offers nothing in these cases. I just really want my HR back but he doesn’t have any and he has nothing right now that I want. What are the rules when doing things like this?

The homewrecker died. I shipped it exactly like he told me to. What really ticks me off is that he asked me over and over to do it and I didn’t want to. Finally I told him I would trade it for the BL.

Well I'm not sure what is going on but something sounds pretty shady and not the real Slim Shady. Personally speaking I wouldn't have cut a piece off of a coral that is the size of a 50 cent piece (and not that 50 Cent to boot). Something sounds off somewhere in the story line. Especially since they are offering money when it supposedly died.

I'm a firm believer to not judge and people are innocent until proven guilty of something. So my suggestion is to call said vendor, ask some questions, get some photos, and go from there. I think it is the right thing to do.

Edit: And to clarify I have no idea what a home wrecker is. Growing up I always understood it to be a blond bombshell super model (or insert some other hair color of voluptuous beauty) or Mr. Muscle bound Fabio with long locks of golden hair flowing in the wind...

So you have a hard time saying no? Lol I know he kept asking you to but all you have to do is just keep saying no. Sorry about your situation but this is why trading with shipping is risky with no guarantees but a promise. Good luck working it out with the other person!

Did you get your BL at least? Is the deal off because it died and now he's offering $500 cash instead? Did he provide photos and proof? It seems like the BL costs a lot more than $500 so I would want the BL originally agreed on.

What is their doa policy? Seems like it should go both ways. Pics in original shipping within x hours of shipping. Otherwise I would demand your trade from them. Or put them on blast.

Two sides to every story and all that; but if you're telling a very accurate representation of the exchange I think you should take the 500$ and not do further business or exchanges with the seller at fault.

Your homewrecker is gone so it seems ultimately there is any solution other than the monetary compensation that has been offered to you. It sucks but best to take advantage of the money and move on with the knowledge you'll never partake in such an exchange again.

Take the 500 and use it for something you want. After that I wouldn’t do transactions with him anymore

I would do exactly this. Getting all worked up and upset really isn't going to do much as your hands are pretty well tied. Chalk it up to season learned, take the credit and get something then move on and not interact with him anymore.
