Hey guys

I have a squamosa that is about 3.5 to 4 inches. He has been doing absolutely great since I let him get where he wanted. Today, I noticed a vermatid (sp) snail on his shell. The "net" the snail had cast seemed to be irritating the clam, so i tried to break it off with my finger. Of course the clam snapped shut as soon as I touched it, but while breaking off the snail, i also crushed one of the brand new flukes on the newest part of the shell. He's been closed for about 30 minutes since then. Have I done some real damage here? I cant pick him up, because he's wedged his foot in pretty good under a large piece of live rock that is holding up the rest of the aquascape.
