Did I kill my Xenia by Dipping it?

Hi All,

About a month ago I put a pom pom Xenia from a LFS in my tank. It was doing great and looked very healthy.
A few days ago I got a few more coral frags, and when I dipped them in SeaChem Coral Dip I decided to dip the Xenia as well.

Since then the Xenia has retracted all it's "arms", it seems to have shriveled up and also looks darker than it used to.
It has been about 1.5 days since the dipping, I don't see any change and I am hoping that I have not damaged / killed the Xenia by dipping it. Can dipping a coral kill it? Is that even a thing?

any insight would be appreciated?

I had a friend that dipped a bunch of Xenia in revive and thought it was going to die but almost all of it survived. It “shed” its skin and looked awful for 3 days.

LiquidEric, I am hoping you are right, things seem to be looking a little better.
Immediately after dipping the coral went very dark and retracted.
Now it seems to be lighter in colour and the arms seem to be extending.

All is well... it seems the xenia got pretty shocked / ticked at the dipping but has now returned to normal :)

Don't give up on it. I had some Xenia that got nuked by a dying nem, and I was sure it was toast. It shriveled up to nothing and turned dark. But after a month or more, it began regrowing polyps and looks great today.

I never remove 'dead' coral.
