Usually you will start to see a loss of production of slowing GPD due to fouling of the membrane. This is also evident when the incoming pressure is still the same but the production rate goes down and why having a pressure gauge is important. Sometimes when it gets bad enough the membrane tears or ruptures and you start seeing TDS in the permeate or RO only water before the DI which leads to short DI life.
