used a moving company for my big tank and gave each $25 extra for their patience and last minute availability.

If they have to deliver it into your house yes, and if it is a difficult job not just thru a door and drop it off then definitely yes and a little extra.

I would not, but Australia's economy does not incorporate tipping, but it also depends if the delivery guy went above and beyond he/she might get tipped with a 6pack or more of beer.

I had 4 guys move an 800 pound 3/4" glass, 60x36x27", 250 gallon tank and steel stand into my basement. They did a phenomenal job. They each got a $50 bill. They also held it for a few weeks and uncrated it, and moved a piano while they were at it.

I tipped the freight delivery guy on my 150 gallon tank because he put the stand and tank in the garage instead of leaving it at the curb like he was supposed to.
