Dieease or Mouth Brooding?

Hiya,
Please could someone help me if this looks like something to worry about or simply mouth brooding. I have 2 of these both we’re eating well but over the last 3-4 days this one has moved to this secluded (ish) spot and refuses to eat. No other smoking guns in relation to illness anywhere else and no new additions in the last 3-4 weeks.

We are talking about your Bengai cardinal correct? He may have a mouth full of fry as you had suspected, a friend in our club has a pair that will do this every couple of months.

I dont see any issues with fish and may have eggs but the breathing is also a little labored . May be in that spot as they deposit babies IF EGGS in an urchin or similar for hiding. There are plastic urchins for order on line that works for this as the anemones will make lunch of the fry

It seems too small to be reproductive, and it also seems to be breathing faster than it should.

How long have you had these two fish?
Are they wild caught or captive raised?
